This is a great quote on friendship from Dean Koontz’s Odd Thomas character. This is from Odd Interlude 3:
“Loyal companions are an unequaled grace, staunching fear before it bleeds you numb, a reliable antidote for creeping despair.”
Odd Thomas was the first Dean Koontz book I’d ever read, and it led me to check out Koontz’s entire back catalog from my county’s library system. Since then, I’ve also read every new Koontz book since Odd Thomas and whatever older titles I was able to find used.

I’m a huge fan of Dean Koontz and have read almost everything he’s written – except somehow I had missed the Odd Interlude series. Just downloaded #1. I love the Odd Thomas character!
Love Koontz! The 3 Odd Interludes are quick reads (cliffhangers in #1 & 2) but they are supposed to lead up to the next full-length Odd Thomas book that comes out tomorrow. And did you hear about the movie coming out this fall?
